Women’s World Cup 2025 will Start in September, with Tentative Locations in Vizag, Indore & Thiruvananthapuram

Women’s World Cup 2025: Visakhapatnam is the most popular option for the opening match of India’s hosting of the Women’s World Cup in September and October, while four other locations have been shortlisted for the remaining games.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has selected Mullanpur, Indore, Thiruvananthapuram, and Guwahati as additional potential locations because the ICC event falls with men’s matches and local competitions.

It was decided at the BCCI’s top council meeting in Kolkata that the event, which will last for about three weeks, will be held at five different locations while taking logistics and weather into consideration.

There were also talks about using Mumbai and Vadodara, which are hosting the just finished Women’s Premier League, but according to sources, it was decided not to schedule any games there because of the frequent rains that both areas experience until early October.

The opening ceremony will take place in Visakhapatnam, a Test center and typical IPL location, and the final may take place in Guwahati or Indore.

Before proceeding, a thorough inspection of every location would be conducted after the international organization has approved the centers that the BCCI has suggested.
