The Corona era was very challenging for the players. The sports complex remained closed and no place was found for practice with fellow players. The Sports Authority of India (SAI) will be conducting three-day selection trials from 21st May to 23rd May at the Sports Authority of India Lucknow Regional Center for the sports selection including Taekwondo sport.
8 male and 8 female players will be selected for the Asian Games. Indian Taekwondo Player Atul Raghav will be giving the Asian Qualifications for the Asian games 2021. he is also selected for the Hero’s Cup 2021 which will be in Bangkok, Thailand.
Earlier, Atul Raghav won Bronze medal in G-2 Fujairah Dubai 2020 and became the youngest player to participate in the G-Ranked championship.
He came into limelight after his debut in G-2 Fujairah. The 8th edition of Fujairah Open had received more than 2000 entries including more than 1600 athletes from 43 countries. This included more than 400 UAE based Taekwondo players. The event became all the more important for international players after it was upgraded and ranked G-2 by the World Taekwondo headquartered in South Korea.
Atul Raghav started his career in 2017 as an inter-school player. But later on, Atul won gold in district, state, national and even in international championships. He even represented CISCE (Council of India School Certificate Examinations) two times and bagged medal for CISCE.
Atul is an Indian Taekwondo Athlete. He is the youngest Taekwondo athlete from his district Ghaziabad who got fame in Taekwondo sport.
