The International Cricket Council said that over 4000 standing room tickets would be available for 30 Australian dollars and distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
Standing room only tickets for the eagerly awaited ICC Men’s T20 World Cup match between India and Pakistan at the MCG on October 23 were made available on Thursday. When they went on sale in February, the general admission tickets for the showpiece game were sold out in five minutes.
According to the International Cricket Council, around 4000 standing room tickets would be offered for 30 Australian dollars and distributed based on demand.
“The ticket distribution makes sure that as many supporters as possible may attend the match that is set to take place on Sunday, October 23. Additionally, a small number of packages are still accessible for purchase through the ICC Hospitality and ICC Travel & Tours programmes “the ICC stated.
The tournament’s organisers will also debut a resale market near the first game of the competition on October 16th.
The ICC stated that fans who were unable to obtain tickets may still reserve a spot to see the best cricketers in the world at other T20 World Cup games for as little as $5 for children and $20 for adults.
Additionally, there are still tickets available for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Final, which will also be held at the MCG on November 13.
