The Scotland squad is officially sponsored by the KMF, which owns the Nandini brand. This is the first time the milk brand has expanded internationally.
The forthcoming T20 World Cup will include a shirt designed by the management of the Scotland cricket team including the insignia of the state-grown Nandini dairy from Karnataka. As the official sponsor of the Scotland squad, the Nandini brand is operated by the Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF), which is expanding its reach internationally for the first time.
On Wednesday, players’ T-shirts were released, and the brand name and emblem were shown in Kannada writing on the sleeves. The announcement that Nandini will be the official sponsor of the Scotland men’s team for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 was made by Cricket Scotland and the Karnataka Milk Federation in an X post.
The West Indies and the United States of America will host the T20 World Cup, which the Ireland cricket team is slated to participate in. Nandini is also the team’s official sponsor.
KMF Managing Director MK Jagadish confirmed, “We are going to sponsor both the Ireland and Scotland cricket teams in the T20 World Cup,” in an earlier interview with news agency PTI. “Throughout the matches, our brand will be seen.”
Additionally, Nandini is entering the US energy drink market with “Nandini Splash,” an energy drink made with whey. “In the World Cup, we want to highlight Nandini.” Over the course of the competition, whey-based energy drinks will be offered in the US market; Jagadish went on to say that this brand will be globally recognized. Immediately following the conclusion of the current IPL, the T20 cricket world cup will commence on June 4.
