As the 2024–2025 Men’s FIH Hockey Pro League season draws to a close, the action moves to Santiago del Estero, Argentina for the next leg, which takes place from December 11–16.
Belgium finished the stage atop the table with eight points from four games after defeating Germany 6-3 in the final Amsterdam leg. Germany is in third place with four points, while the Netherlands is in second place with six.
The current leading scorer with eight goals is Tom Boon of Belgium, who was named Player of the Match in the match against Germany. However, since Belgium won’t be competing in Argentina, you might see a different leader once the stage starts.
The hosts England and Ireland will play Argentina twice in a round-robin style, with the other two countries joining Argentina. The Pro League will end this year, and the focus will switch to the eagerly anticipated Hockey India League, which begins on December 28.
In February of the following year, the nine-team FIH Pro League will return to action in Sydney, with further legs in Argentina and Bhubaneswar, India. On June 29, games in Berlin, Germany, and Antwerp, Belgium, will wrap up the 2024–25 season.
The team that finishes last will be replaced by the FIH Hockey Nations Cup winners the next season, while the league winners will have a direct ticket to the 2026 FIH Hockey World Cup, which will be held in the Netherlands and Belgium.
