Pistons who have Won Eight Straight Games

Detroit Pistons defeated the Boston Celtics 117-97 in a game between two of the NBA’s most exciting teams On Wednesday night. Malik Beasley scored 26 points, while Cade Cunningham finished with 21 points and 11 assists.

With a strong second-half performance against the Boston Celtics, who are also on a roll, the Pistons won 117-97 to record their eighth consecutive victory. The Pistons’ winning streak is their longest since the 2007–08 campaign.

With eight games remaining, Detroit and the Cleveland Cavaliers are tied for the NBA’s longest active streak. For the first time since a 10-game winning run from January 23 to February 13, 2008, the Pistons have won eight straight games in a season.

Boston (42–17) has won 10 of 11 games and six in a row. The Celtics suffered their second-biggest loss of the season, losing by 20 points.

In the first half, Tatum, White, and Pritchard went 11 of 15 from 3-point range and 14 of 22 from the field. Derrick White and Payton Pritchard each scored 18 points, while Jayson Tatum scored 27 for Boston.

Boston started the day 32-1 over the previous two seasons and 17-1 in games where it made 20 or more 3-pointers this season.

For Detroit, Jalen Duren contributed 13 points and 11 rebounds. The Pistons held a 49-33 advantage in rebounds. Before scoring the first eight points of the fourth quarter to take a 19-point lead, the Pistons led 90-79 going into the fourth quarter. Detroit grabbed charge after the Celtics were tied at 55 at the half and outscored them 35–24 in the third quarter.
