Los Angeles Lakers center Mo Bamba, who hasn’t played starting from the first round of the playoffs against the Memphis Grizzlies as he deals with a left ankle injury, is supposed to be cleared for a return when Game 4 or 5 of the Western Conference finals.
Bamba has been out of nine playoff games in a row, including Game 3 against the Denver Nuggets on Saturday night.
Bamba, a 7-foot center, may give the Lakers, whose rotation lacks size, another option for Nuggets superstar big man Nikola Jokic.
Since his February acquisition from the Orlando Magic at the trade deadline, Bamba has only seen limited action for the Lakers this season.
The Lakers head into Game 3 following the Nuggets 2-0 as the series shifts to Los Angeles.
