LA Clippers guard Paul George didn’t play in Tuesday’s 116-113 misfortune to the San Antonio Spurs in view of right ankle soreness.
Clippers coach Ty Lue said that George changed his ankle during the Clippers’ 112-107 triumph in Phoenix on Sunday. George, who scored 39 points in 38 minutes during the success over the Suns, tested his lower leg before the group settled on its decision preceding the game.
George is averaging 25.1 points, 5.7 bounce back and 5.1 assists this season. Luke Kennard began against San Antonio in George’s place.
The Clippers play the second game of a consecutive set at Golden State on Wednesday.
