Saliva Prohibition Lifted
- Players can once more spit on the ball.
- Initially prohibited in 2020 because of COVID-19.
- After captains agreed, a decision was reached.
The Second New Ball Rule
- After 11 overs in the second innings, a second new ball will be added.
- only to lessen the influence of dew during night games.
- Not relevant to day games.
- The umpires make the final decision.
Slow Over-Rate Does Not Lead to Match Bans
- Captains who have slow over-rates won’t be banned.
- Rather, they will be penalized with demerit points.
- Level 1: demerit points plus a 25-75% match fee charge (good for 3 years).
- Level 2: Four points for demerit.
Wides Expansion of DRS
- Height wides can now be reviewed using DRS.
- DRS can also be applied to off-stump wides.
