The ACA International Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam will host the Delhi Capitals and Lucknow Super Giants on Monday in their IPL 2025 opener.
Both teams will be led by new captains; former Capitals captain Rishabh Pant will be in charge of LSG, while Axar Patel will head DC.
Since their 2022 debut, KL Rahul has been the leader of LSG; he has since joined the Delhi Capitals. The Capitals have added Australian pace phenom Mitchell Starc to their roster, who will be playing again after a layoff, adding even more intrigue. Starc played a key role in the Kolkata Knight Riders’ championship win the previous season and will be essential to DC’s attempts to end their title drought.
