Orange Cap Holder for IPL 2024: Sunil Narine and Phil Salt of the Kolkata Knight Riders soared up the standings following their explosive opening-day performance against the Lucknow Super Giants on Sunday. Narine and Salt improved to third and fifth place in the table, respectively, with scores of 81 and 32.
After scoring 42 runs in a 27-ball innings during Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s four-wicket victory over the Gujarat Titans at the Chinnaswamy Stadium on Saturday, Virat Kohli stormed to the top of the IPL 2024 run scorers standings. With his innings, Kohli moved captain Ruturaj Gaikwad of the Chennai Super Kings to second place. Gaikwad had surpassed Virat Kohli to take the top spot on the batting charts on Wednesday.
KL Rahul, the captain of Lucknow, moved up to fourth place after unseating Sai Sudharsan of the Gujarat Titans, who scored six goals against Bengaluru on Saturday.
