It’s the 16 th game of the tournament and it’s between the southpaws SRH and the rulers of north DC(who was previously known as Delhi Daredevils). The tournament so far have been really good for SRH in terms of their individual and team performance while for Delhi the games have gone deep and they have ended on either sides(winning or losing) the matches. SRH on one hand is a perfect combination of youngsters mixed with experience while for Delhi their young talent have outplayed and are the best as compared to any other side.
SRH has played 3 games so far and has managed to been able to win 2 of them while losing 1. Hyderabad’s openers have proved to be an absolute delight to watch and threat for the bowlers too. David Warner and Jonny Bairstow have been able to provide crucial starts and have outplayed every oppositions bowlers till date. Now the contest would be between the star pacer Kagiso Rabada and the SRH openers. Also the middle order of SRH includes the names of Kane Williamson but due to his injury and uncertainity of playing there’s a huge gap to be filled by Manish Pandey, Vijay Shankar and Yusuf Pathan. The bowling department is also doing fine for now as Rashid Khan commonly known as Khan Sahab now has always been able to provide crucial breakthroughs at crucial times. Also pacers like Bhuvaneshwar Kumar have been an asset in the previous seasons but he’s one of the weak links.
DC on the other hand also have 4 points but in 4 games with 2 wins and 2 loses. Their young bunch has done well including Prithvi Shaw(who missed a century against KKR by 1 run), Rishabh Pant(who’s amongst the players who have chances of winning the orange cap), Captain Shreyas Iyyer and Colin Ingram(who smacked RCB bowlers and scored a hundred). While their middle order is still a concern as was witnessed in the last 2 matches which should have been single handedly won by DC. The bowling department may not be beaming with many big names but has Kagiso Rabada who’s been a concern for every batsmen and spinners like Amit Mishra.
The Feroz Shah Kotla stadium should be a lot hot with temperature being around 30 degree celsius and humdity around 34 percent mark. Average first innings score is around 174 while team chasing has 50% chance of winning.
Now lets just hope that it should be a classic counter and may the best team win.
