We are almost in the third week of IPL. Match no. 17 brings us to Chinnaswamy Stadium, the home ground of Royal Challengers Bangalore. Kolkata Knight Riders will be playing their fourth game here.
Nothing has worked for RCB in this season till now. They were involved in both the highest and lowest score of the tournament. The highest score was scored against them by SRH while RCB crumbled for a mere 70 runs in their opening game. When you have two of the greatest batsman of this generation in and you don’t finish a game on your own terms signals that cricket is not an individual sport. It is a team game and the whole team needs to give their 100% to win a game.
RCB has Tim Southee on the bench who they can try in this game. Also, Virat Kohli in the last game signaled that there would be some changes in the team formation. Rest the team looks fine and they just need to perform as a single unit to score 2 points on the point table.
KKR lost their last game to DC at Kotla in a super over. That match was one of the best of this season till now. Good news for KKR is that Sunil Narine is back after suffering an injury in last game. KKR will play their match after 5 days of the gap and in these days they would have found the solution to some of their problems too. One of the problem that is clearly visible is the lack of fire from both the openers. KKR just needs to fix that as their bowling unit is performing well. They have one of the best all-rounder of this game in the form of Andre Rusell and players like Dinesh Karthik and Shubhman Gill is performing well with the bat.
KKR is the sure favorite in this match due to their history in this year’s IPL as well as at Chinnaswamy too.
