Chennai Super Kings will take on Sunrisers Hyderabad today at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. Both the teams played last year’s final. They both performed extremely well throughout the tournament and deserved a place in the final. Cut to this year and Chennai Super Kings are having the same dream run like last year but for Sunrisers Hyderabad this year is much different from the past 3 years. SRH have lost 4 out of 7 games this year. They have already lost the last three matches.
The problem with SRH is their middle order. Although their bowlers have also looked slightly out of form but they have managed to get back on the track. The middle order is something which has stopped SRH to cross the line. In the last match, they experimented by resting Yusuf Pathan and Manish Pandey but that too didn’t work. The team is heavily depended on their openers and there is no one in the middle order to absorb the pressure. SRH is in the half of the tournament and if they want a happy ending for the other half then their middle order will have to work a lot.
Chennai Super Kings is a team that can lift the trophy this year. They have ticked the right boxes at the right time. The things that were assumed to be their weakness has come up as their strength. You have to give the credit to the team because first, they lost Lungi Ngidi before the start of the season then Dwayne Bravo was injured. All these things didn’t stop CSK anywhere. They never missed these key players because in every match some other player has stepped up and taken them home. Suresh Raina’s was out of form but in the last match, he proved why he is known as Mr. IPL.
Although the match is in Hyderabad but CSK’s current form makes them favorites to win the match.
