The International Masters League 2025’s first semi-final will take place in Raipur on Thursday, March 13, and pit the Australia Masters against the Sachin Tendulkar-led India Masters.
India Masters, who had eight points from their five league games and finished second in the points table, were ready for their opponent, the third-place team. In the tournament’s last group stage match on Wednesday, the Australians became that team by defeating England by three wickets. In 19.1 overs, Australia Masters defeated England Masters by 210 runs, led by Nathan Reardon’s scorching 83 off 39 balls.
In a high-scoring 12th game, India Masters defeated West Indies Masters by seven runs to secure their spot in the semi-finals. In response to West Indies Masters’ 253-run total, India Masters was able to restrict them to 246 runs thanks to a three-wicket burst from Stuart Binny and a clever last over from Irfan Pathan.
For a spot in the title match on Sunday in Raipur, Kumar Sangakkara’s Sri Lanka Masters, who finished first in the points standings with eight points and a higher net run rate than India, will play the West Indies Masters in Friday’s second semifinal.
