This autumn, Cricket is hosting an Octoberfest unlike any other. The sport will make a comeback to its beloved location. Furthermore, it’s not the Caribbean, England, or even India. Since hosting bilateral and tri-nation series, primarily featuring matches between India and Pakistan, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has become the go-to location for any kind of cricket event. The ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 is set to be the newest major event in the United Arab Emirates.
The 2024 World T20 Cup for women will now take place in Dubai and Sharjah. As is common with these “moved” events, the official host of the event will continue to be the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), who secured the rights to organize it.
Competing teams for the 2024 Women’s T20 World Cup
There will be ten teams in the competition. The holders are Australia, the record six-time winners. Traditional powers England, India, South Africa, and New Zealand will compete for the trophy in addition to the Australians. ‘Hosts’ Bangladesh, Scotland, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka are the other teams.
