ICC Champions Trophy 2025: Following their successful performance in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, the BCCI set a cash price of Rs 58 crore for the Men in Blue. All of the players, coaches, support personnel, and the selection committee will be honored with this prize money.
After winning four straight games, the Rohit Sharma-led team advanced to the summit match and remained undefeated throughout the competition. They crushed arch-rivals Pakistan by the same number of wickets after defeating Bangladesh by six in their tournament opener. In the semifinal, they crushed Australia by four wickets after defeating New Zealand by 44 runs.
In the ICC men’s limited-overs competitions, India has won 23 of its last 24 games. The lone time it lost was against Australia in the 2023 ODI World Cup final, ending a 10-match winning streak.
India has since won the 2025 Champions Trophy and the 2024 T20 World Cup with undefeated campaigns. With 27 victories and only three defeats in ICC limited-overs competitions, Rohit Sharma has led India to back-to-back ICC crowns.
The ICC Under-19 Women’s World Cup was one of the back-to-back ICC trophies that BCCI president Roger Binny praised as evidence of India’s robust cricketing ecosystem.
The team’s supremacy was commended by Honorary Secretary Devajit Saikia, who said that the team’s top status in white-ball cricket is well-deserved.
