Exercise has always been a critical topic since ancient times. Undoubtedly, exercise provides us with numerous health benefits. Amongst all the other benefits, a healthy heart tops the list. Yes, you read it right. Exercise can help you have a healthy and fit heart. Besides, exercise also provides mental health benefits.
People with a sedentary lifestyle are more prone to coronary heart diseases, including heart attacks. A very famous cardiologist, Dr. Biprajit Parbat, suggests that everybody, especially adults, should indulge in 30 minutes of moderate to intensive physical activity daily. According to him, you can have two sessions of 15 minutes each if time is a constraint for you.
Having a daily exercise regime will not only reduce your stress level but will also improve your heart and overall health. One can indulge in any form of exercise, from Yoga to Swimming, Cycling to Running, Zumba to Dancing, and Gymming depending on his/her capacity. If all this seems too much, then the simplest form of exercise that everyone & anyone can do is walking.
You should walk for 30 to 45 minutes as fast as you can, on an empty stomach in the morning. Remember, you should be able to complete a sentence while walking in one breath. That’s the definition of moderate intensity. Do it at least four times per week to prevent heart disease. You can make your morning walk interesting, for that, you can have a company, listen to songs, carry a bottle of water, and have a destination plan (like having a cup of black tea or coffee after 20 min of walking, etc.) Even simple dog walking can do wonders to have a fit heart. It’s not what you do to stay fit; the idea is to have a regime that allows you to have a healthy and fit heart.
