CONCACAF Champions Cup Semifinal First Leg Messi’s Inter Miami Loses to the Vancouver Whitecaps

CONCACAF Champions Cup semifinal 2025: The Vancouver Whitecaps defeated Lionel Messi-led Inter Miami 2-0 on Thursday in the first leg of the CONCACAF Champions Cup semifinal, with to goals from Brian White and Sebastien Berhalter. Chase Stadium in Florida will host the second leg of the current competition on Friday.

This semifinal’s second leg will be played at Chase Stadium in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. On June 1st, the victor of this semifinal will play either Cruz Azul or Tigres UANL in the championship match.

The BC Place stadium was packed with roughly 53,837 spectators who came to watch Messi play. When the Argentine football hero started and continued to play, they were not disappointed. Spanish defender Jordi Alba, Uruguayan attacker Louis Suarez, and Spain’s top midfielder Sergio Busquets were the other standout players.
