During Asia primetime on Friday, May 2, twelve exciting martial arts bouts involving elite competitors will take place at Bangkok’s iconic Lumpinee Stadium.
After ONE Friday Fights 106, ONE Fight Night 31: Kongthoranee vs. Nong-O II on Prime Video will take place later that day in North American primetime, kicking off a doubleheader of combat sports action.
The main event features a 140-pound Muay Thai bout between Thai brawler Panrit Lukjaomaesaiwaree and highly regarded promotional newcomer Suksawat PK Saenchai, which might end badly.
At one point, Panrit, 28, enjoyed a four-bout winning streak, but his 10-fight run at ONE Friday Fights has been filled with ups and downs.
However, the fiercely combative Superbon Training Camp representative is determined to recover and defeat 24-year-old Suksawat, one of Thailand’s top rising stars, despite losing his last two fights.
Yunusov of Russia will enter this fight fresh off his first loss in the promotion. He has an undefeated career record that includes three exciting wins at ONE Friday Fights.
Ponting, 19, will be on the other side of him. Despite losing a hard-fought majority decision in his promotional debut last August, the heavy-handed Brit is still one of the most gifted young Muay Thai fighters.
In flyweight MMA action, Mongolian-Russian striking expert Chayan Oorzhak will take on Venezuelan sensation Eubert “Speed” Gomez in an attempt to bounce back from his first ONE loss.
Oorzhak impressed spectators with his high-octane striking and fearless chase of the knockout as he won three straight fights to start his ONE career.
Even though Gomez will be making his ONE debut, he has already made a name for himself as one of the best mixed martial artists in South America, and his diverse skill set may help him succeed internationally.
