The Mumbai Indians announced on Friday that Mark Boucher, a former South African wicketkeeper-batsman, will take over as their head coach for the 2023 Indian Premier League (IPL). Boucher, who holds the record for the most Test dismissals by a wicketkeeper, has had a long and distinguished career as a wicketkeeper, batsman, and wicketkeeper. After retiring, he took over as coach for South Africa’s best cricket team, Titans, and guided them to five domestic championships.
Mark Boucher was hired as Cricket South Africa’s head coach in 2019, and during his tenure, his team won 11 tests, 12 ODIs, and 23 T20 matches.
