As we are only a few days away from the inauguration of the grand IPL ’19, there are many expectations and hopes of the players and their fans too, so that they perform well and can break through the national squad for the world cups going to be hosted by England and Wales from 30thMay. Big names like Suresh Raina, Yuvraj Singh and Ishant Sharma who had already made a great impact on the Indian Cricket Team are desperately for their turns to perform in their particular zone of the game, whereas youngster like Vijay Shankar, Rishabh Pant and Siddharth Kaul are finding there way to make it to the World Cup team.
If we talk about Raina, who is already the highest run-getter in IPL, is searching for his form and have scored 75, 5, 54*, 1, 12, 3, 5, in his last 7 T20 innings for Uttar Pradesh. On the other hand the veteran cricketer Yuvraj Singh will also be willing to be the part of this Indian world cup squad so as to end his carrier with satisfaction after bravely fighting with monstrous cancer. But the veteran is also struggling in the recent past to find his form back. He had scored 6, 7, 34, 26 in his last T20 innings for Punjab which makes his form look more ugly.
In his recent interview, Indian Pacer Ishant Sharma said that if he will perform well in the IPL, then he can be the fourth seamer in the World Cup for India, keeping in mind that the worth cup is going to be held in England where we can witness seam movement, selectors will be keeping a close eye on the performances of seam bowlers throughout the IPL.
Whereas if we talk about the youngsters like Rishabh Pant and Vijay Shankar who are already a part of Indian Cricket Team, don’t have to lose much as they have ample of time left in their respective carrier. The key for them is to focus on their natural game so they don’t panic and can perform in the pressure situation which shows their character and the ability to hold their composure. If Vijay Shankar performs well with both bat and ball, he’ll be an obvious choice for the 15 member squad as he can be an asset to the team who can fill the place of a fast bowling allrounder. But chances for Rishabh Pant to be featured in the playing 11 is very less as the legendary MS Dhoni will be the first wicketkeeper-batsman choice in the 11, because of his inning building skills, his game understanding, and finishing power along with the lighting fast wicket keeping skills.
