Cameron Champ has removed from the Genesis Invitational.
The PGA Tour declared the move Wednesday night. Champ’s delegates disclosed to Golf Digest the choice is identified with the colder time of year storms hitting Texas, where Champ has a home in Houston.
Champ was planned as one of the included pairings at Riviera with Rory McIlroy and Bryson DeChambeau, the three longest drivers on visit this season. With Champ out of the blend, that unique changes: In Champ’s place is Andrew Putnam, who positions 197th in driving distance this year.
