Recently, John Calipari declared that freshman forward Cam’Ron Fletcher would be withdrawing from nonappearance from the Kentucky Wildcats basketball team. Cal expressed that Fletcher expected to do some “soul searching” all the while.
Around evening time on his radio show, Calipari remarked on Fletcher’s takeoff from the group.
“This is the best thing for him. It wasn’t one thing. It wasn’t one thing on the bench. This is a culmination of things where he needed to change, and he wasn’t changing. This is what Cam needed,” Calipari said.
“He’s got to change.”
Calipari additionally added that the explanation that he opened up to the world today on Twitter with the news with respect to Fletcher was that the media had just gotten tightly to it and Fletcher would have been observably missing from the game against Louisville on Saturday.
Calipari then added that he and Fletcher’s mom are on the same wavelength with respect to his break from the group.
Whatever gives that Fletcher might be experiencing, Calipari is by all accounts in with no reservations on possibly inviting him back to the group when that opportunity arrives.
