Chargers running back Melvin Gordon recently made national headlines after stating that he’s waiting until Le’Veon Bell signs with a team before inking an extension with Los Angeles. In addition to the fact that Gordon feel that he is deserving of a major bag, but on the other hand he’s sufficiently certain to call him the best running back in L.A.
The other RB in the city is Rams’ Todd Gurley, who built up himself as the Offensive Player of the Year in 2017.
“Facts,” Gordon told TMZ Sports when asked if felt he was the best running back in the city, “Facts. Facts. Facts. Facts.”
He isn’t bagging on Gurley using any and all means, however. Gordon just trusts that he is progressively prevalent, showing the confidence you see in most professional athletes.
“He’s good, though,” Gordon said of Gurley. “He’s a great back, though.”
The two players were a part of the 2015 NFL draft class, with Gurley going No. 10 and Gordon going five spots later.
Gurley is falling off a season in which he ranked No. 3 in the NFL in rushing yards with 1,251 and first with 17 hurrying touchdowns while including 580 yards and four scores through the air.
In the mean time, Gordon kept running for 885 yards and 10 touchdowns in 12 games, as well as 490 receiving yards and four touchdowns.
You can make the argument for both players, however Gurley’s prosperity helped lead the Rams to Super Bowl LIII. he has struggled to get anything going the past few weeks as he’s been dealing with a knee injury, limiting his production.
