The Panthers on Tuesday authoritatively added Clay Johnston to their practice squad, carrying it to an entire 16 players.
Johnston, who played under head coach Matt Rhule and defensive coordinator Phil Snow at Baylor, recorded 237 career tackles in four years. He was a two-time, second-team All-Big 12 honoree. The Rams drafted him in the seventh round however released him Saturday.
Johnston’s dad, Kent, is right now the Panthers’ Director of Player Wellness.
