Sachin Tendulkar To Be Honoured BCCI Lifetime Achievement Award

At the Board’s yearly gala on Saturday, the BCCI’s Lifetime Achievement Award will be given to the renowned Sachin Tendulkar, whose batting records and influence on international cricket have endured.

The record for most Test and ODI runs in the history of the game is held by 51-year-old Tendulkar, who represented India in 664 international matches.

“Yes, he will be the recipient of the C K Nayudu Lifetime Achievement Award for the year 2024,” According to report.

Tendulkar is the player with the most appearances in the history of the game, with 200 Test matches and 463 ODIs. In addition to his incredible 18,426 ODI runs, he scored 15,921 Test runs.

But in his illustrious career, he only participated in one T20 International.

The lifetime honor was given to legendary wicketkeeper Farokh Engineer and former India head coach Ravi Shastri in 2023.

After making his debut in a 1989 Test match against Pakistan at the age of 16, Tendulkar, who is regarded as the best batter of his generation, was not only a prolific run scorer but also a symbol of the game. He played for more than 20 years.

In addition to his many batting records and well-documented achievements, Tendulkar played a significant role in India’s 2011 World Cup victory, which was his sixth and last involvement in the tournament.

When he was at his best, the little right-hander could stop the country in his tracks just by going out to bat.

Opposition teams were eager to have him fired, stating unequivocally that Tendulkar was the only Indian batsman capable of intimidating them.

In total, Tendulkar will be the 31st recipient of the award, which was established in 1994 to honor Col. C K Nayudu, India’s first captain and the game’s administrator.
