However, with significant victories of 10 wickets and 99 runs in the second and third games, respectively, Pakistan rallied to win the series 2-1.
Salman Agha and Abrar Ahmed made an impression with the ball, while rising players Saim Ayub and Kamran Ghulam scored hundreds.
Sikandar Raza once again displayed his versatility for the home team.
With two draws and one draw, Pakistan now leads Zimbabwe 56–6 in ODI head-to-head play after those victories.
