Delhi Premier League 2024: Six men’s teams and four women’s teams will compete in the inaugural Delhi Premier League (DPL), which is scheduled to begin on Saturday, August 17.
As they emerged as the main picks at the player draft, big names like Rishabh Pant, Ishant Sharma, Yash Dhull, Ayush Badoni, Anuj Rawat, and Harshit Rana will be seen in action.
All of the DPL’s first-ever matches are slated to take place at Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi and run through September 8.
The season will feature 40 matches in total, with 33 games in the men’s division and 7 in the women’s.
The competition aims to develop even more elite cricket players from Delhi by following in the footsteps of the highly successful Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL) and Karnataka Premier League (KPL).
Virender Sehwag, a former opener for India, has been designated the league’s brand ambassador.

The Delhi Premier League’s inaugural season will take place from August 17 to September 8. The Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi will host all of the tournament’s games.
