Delhi Capitals will be eager to get their campaign back on track against the Super Giants in the LSG vs. DC IPL 2024 match.
The Delhi Capitals are currently at the bottom of the table after only winning once in their last five games. The 2020 finalists have faced many challenges on their journey to return to winning ways. Although they have had a strong batting order, their bowling unit has struggled and fallen short of expectations.
Starting pair David Warner and Prithvi Shaw have helped DC find their batting groove. Tristan Stubbs offers consistency in the middle order, even though Rishabh Pant’s confidence has increased with each subsequent innings. DC would prefer that Abhishek Porel and Lalit Yadav, their uncapped players, step up.
Their major concern this year has been a loose bowling attack, though.
The Capitals have been smashed for 200+ scores twice this season by Kolkata Knight Riders (272) and Mumbai Indians (234). Their fiery right-arm pacer, Anrich Nortje, has not been able to find the sting and has been smashed all around the park.
Ishant Sharma and Khaleel Ahmed, two other pacers, have also performed mediocrely with him. Even though head coach Ricky Ponting has suggested that Kuldeep Yadav may make a return and that Axar Patel hasn’t had the best season yet, DC has managed to hold on thanks to their spin unit.

LSG wants to pick up where they left off
The first half of the Lucknow Super Giants’ season has been outstanding. The Gujarat Titans were thoroughly defeated by the KL Rahul-led team in their previous meeting, and they will be hoping for a fourth straight victory. With KL Rahul, Nicholas Pooran, and Quinton De Kock, their batting order has performed fairly. In his previous at-bat against the Titans, LSG Marcus Stoinis looked impressive, and he’ll try to build on that performance.
Meanwhile, with players like Mayank Yadav, Yash Thakur, Naveen-Ul Haq, and Krunal Pandya, their bowling unit has been strong. But with Mayank Yadav probably out due to injury, LSG will be looking for big games from Matt Henry or Shamar Joseph.
