In the third session, after the visitors lost four wickets in the first, Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja made sure that India didn’t lose any more wickets. Kohli finished the day undefeated on 87 off 161 balls.

Up until 2013, Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli shared a dressing room in international cricket. Tendulkar’s brilliant career finished with 664 victories. Dhoni played 535 matches while Kohli, who took over as captain before him, made his debut as an international player.
